Heat Pump Repair

Perhaps your heat pump system is no longer keeping up with seasonal demands, making an unusual sound, or you’ve never had a heat pump before and want to know more about it, we are here to help. A heat pump should blow warm air out of the top side of the outdoor condensing unit in the summer and cool air will come from it during the winter months. If this is not the case, a professional will diagnose the issue.

Heat pumps are designed to cycle on and off to meet a consistent set temperature at the thermostat rather than being adjusted up and down frequently. In the winter, a heat pump is the first stage of heat and typically has an electric or gas backup stage that will kick in when it can no longer meet the demand placed on it by the thermostat. They are efficient to run in Indiana down to 28 degrees before having to switch to your “auxiliary” or “emergency” heat.
